Plot: Can a new marriage survive meddling friends, disapproving families, and some of the worst accommodations in Europe? That's the question posed in this broad comedy. Tom Leezak (Ashton Kutcher) is a regular guy who likes sports and beer and tries to make ends meet working as a nighttime radio traffic reporter. Sarah McNerney (Brittany Murphy) is a beautiful young woman from a wealthy and privileged family who is trying to make a name for herself as a writer. Tom and Sarah have seemingly nothing in common, but that doesn't stop them from falling in love. Sarah's family doesn't much care for Tom's boorish ways, and Tom's buddies think Sarah is too highbrow for him, but, if anything, this makes the couple all the more determined to be together, and they decide to get married and head off to Italy for a month-long honeymoon despite the pleas of those closest to them. However, even after the knot is tied, Sarah's former beau, Peter Prentiss (Christian Kane), is dead set upon breaking up the happy couple, though as it turns out, a seemingly endless stream of bad luck and post-marital jitters may do the job for him. Just Married was written by Sam Harper, who claims to have loosely based the script on his own experiences on an ill-starred European honeymoon with his wife; fortunately, the couple's marriage survived the experience. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

HATERS
Added 6/30/2009

Sorry to all the haters out there, but this was a really funny movie. I'm not even a real fan of Ashton. I don't watch That 70's Show. But this IS a great movie. Well written, lots of laugh out loud moments, lots of insight into relationships, and a great ending that proves this guy can act. I think the first three reviews are BS. I think most couples would enjoy this movie. Relationships take work... it's not all smooth sailing... and that's what this movie shows, in a really funny and engaging way. Kudos to the cast and crew.

Just Funny !!!!

Every reason to not get married, followed by a reason to get married. I imagine this is what Ashton Kutcher's life is like with Bruce Willis being around.

Perfect Comedy!!!

This is an awesome romantic comedy! Ashton Kutcher and the beautiful Brittany Murphy are perfect together! This movie is filled with comedy, I don't see how anyone could hate it! Tom and Sarah meet on a beach and fall in love. Soon, they get married, and go on their honeymoon, and that's when the trouble begins. They get kicked out of their hotel, they get the wrong car, they get stuck in a huge snowball overnight, they go to a crappy hotel, and to make things worse, Sarah's ex-boyfriend tracks them down and tries to seduce Sarah. Will their marriage last? If you love romantic comedies, you'll love JUST MARRIED!!!

Enjoyable Comedy

This is the first work I had seen Ashton Kutcher outside of "That 70s Show", and enjoyed "Just Married" very much along with my daughter.
It is a hilarious and semi clean movie and I just recently purchased
from Amazon for my daughter.

Not bad!

My Boss's Daughter is a story about a young man who is terrified by his boss, only to end up house-sitting for him on an evening that he will surely find unforgettable.
It is a humorous movie with a good casting, even though some of the dialogues could have been better.
Ashton Kutcher and the rest of the cast carry out their performances well.
Also worth pointing out is Carmen Electra's short, but sweet, appearance!
Overall, far from being a masterpiece, My Boss's Daughter will provide for an evening's entertainment especially if one is in a really silly mood and/or intoxicated. 3.5 Stars

Simply Horrible

This movie is a contender for the worst ever made. It is not funny by any stretch of the imagination and the acting is cringe-worthy. Avoid it at all costs as it has no redeeming qualities what so ever. It's not even laughably bad or so good that it's bad. It's just plain old horrible.

One of the better Ashton Kutcher Films

I don't know why so many people hate this movie.Ok,yes,it did have occasional boring parts, but the humor is great and has some pretty good jokes. What its about is a straight laced guy named Tom Stansfield(Ashton Kutcher) who wants to move up in his company and impress his grouchy boss(Terence Stamp). He is shocked to find out that the girl he has a crush on is his boss's daughter. When she asks if he has plans,he thinks its for a date, but its actually a favor asking to house sit.Soon enough,a bunch of uninvited guests show up and ruin the house. Then he gets a call from his boss saying to pick him up in 15 minutes!
All in all I think this is a great comedy, although it doesn't exactly seem like David Zucker's type of movie,it is still very funny.
