sweet tempered holiday fare

This movie has so far passed the test of time- a 1994 Christmas movie, only a single pair of mom jeans and a couple of bad jeans give away just how old this movie is.
There aren't any moments that will make any family's cringe- without being the sort of saccharine sweet that Christmas movies can sometimes descend to.
Tim Allen is fantastic as a reluctant Santa Claus- sometimes he can play a bit over the top, but not here. He plays this role to a tee.
There is magic, mystery, and a well grounded morality and sense of family that works together to make a Christmas movie for the ages.

Santa 'Tim Allen'?

What if YOUR Dad (foibles and all) became the 'new' Santa Claus? This is the premise of 'The Santa Clause' and it did a good job of breathing some new life into Santa's story. While all his characters seem like the same one portrayed in 'Home Improvement', Tim Allen makes for a good 'feel-good' father. I enjoyed the movie, and would watch it again, so it's worth purchasing, IMHO.

We watched the first one so much, it actually got scratched and worn out so we had to get another! Timeless fun with Tim Allen and will be a Christmas classic before long. It's one of my favorites..and I'm the grandma!
