  1. Who can submit video to our sites?
    To show your videos on our sites, you must own or hold the rights to the movie and have all the rights and clearances (music, etc.). You must not have granted exclusive Internet rights to any other company.


  2. Will this submission cost me anything?
    No, submission to VideoDetective LLC is free, although submission does not guarantee that we will exhibit your video. Filling out the submission form takes about 10 minutes. Just send us your tape for consideration.


  3. What rights do I need to have cleared before I submit my video?
    You must have the promotional rights, including music, as opposed to duplication, resale, performance, etc.


  4. What's the best way to submit my video?
    Fill out a submission form for each title and mail the tape in one of the formats:
    1. Beta SP 2 channel stereo
    2. Mini-DV or DV-Cam
    3. S-VHS
    4. DVD
    5. VHS
    6. 3/4" Umatic
    7. Please DO NOT send digital beta.

    OR upload your movie trailer online at http://63.147.235.72/movie/ in one of the following file formats.
    1. AVI
    2. WMV
    3. ASF
    4. MPEG
    5. MOV
    * Video files should not exceed 250 MB.


  5. What is Coming Soon Promotion?
    We will email all subscribing retailers an exclusive announcement of your pre-booking titles. Each title will link directly to a custom page we create with your full color box art (or sell sheet), title description and order information. We will link from your title’s exclusive web page to your preview. Digitization and encoding is included. Previews to the trade will be hosted and streamed for up to 60 days prior to pre-book. At no extra charge, previews are also linked to retail web sites as well as included in our "Profit Picks" in-store programs. Contact us for multi-title discounts.


  6. What is Post Street Date Promotion?
    We will show your movie preview /music video /game spot to the general public via in-store programs and retail web sites as space and time permit. There is no charge.
