Barney celebrates Halloween
Added 10/13/2009
My granddaughters are great Barney fans even going so far as to name their fish Baby Bop and BJ, so when I saw this DVD at a library booksale it was a no brainer to dive into the table and grab it!
The fifty minute Barney DVD has plenty of action ala Barney style along with the music kids seem to love to sing and tap along to.

Barney's Halloween is our favorite fall movie. It has songs about lots of fun fall things like pumpkins, apples etc. More than worth the $10 it costs.

For Barney, This is Pretty Good
Added 11/9/2005
Even for those parents, who are not Barney fans, this DVD is a good one. The songs are cute & our two year old son manages to be able to sing along with some of them. The decorations that they make (spiders from hand prints, ghosts from foot prints) will give you some ideas of ways to entertain your children around Halloween. The costumes are good - certainly not too scary for small children. Overall, our son gives it two thumbs up and requests this DVD by name (even after Halloween)!

Great preparation for young trick-or-treaters
Added 11/15/2009
My 2-year-old LOVES Barney. This is one of the higher quality Barney videos (some of the videos are a bunch of "flashback" scenes from other episodes edited together). I bought this video in early October, and by the time Halloween came, my two-year-old was a trick-or-treating machine! She went out on a mission and took the bad with the good. She was used to watching Baby Bop and BJ talk about saftey while trick-or-treating and she saw that the trick-or-treating experience is not always perfect. It seemed to give her a lot more patience. I think watching all of the costumes on the show also helped her to no be so shocked when she would come across some of the scarier costumes on Halloween. She was still a little scared, but she realized that everyone was just in a costume and that the "monsters" were not real. This is worth buying. ***Parent Annoyance Meter Rating: 2*** (1= not annoying whatsoever, I would watch this without my child ; 5=If I have to watch this again, someone better bring me a straitjacket)
