Austrian throat specialist Dr Karl Roder opposes Nazism, but his wife accepts a post in Berlin. With the help of Hans, a young engineer whose girlfriend has been raped by a stormtrooper and sent to a concentration camp, Karl founds ‘Freedom Radio’. The station verbally denounces Nazism and deliberately sabotages some of Hitler’s speeches. Such bold statements do not go unnoticed however, and the Nazis are determined to silence them.
