Manhattan housewife Alice Tate seems to have it all - a smart apartment, two nice kids and a handsome husband with a high IQ and a high income. But for Alice, there's still something missing. Bored with her bigshot friends, the facelifts and the pedicures, she is searching for something more meaningful from life. Under the influence of a series of magical herbs from her Chinese healer Dr. Yang, Alice begins a remarkable journey of self discovery, a journey on which she comes face to face with her real needs, her desires, her limits and her gifts.
