Bullied at school and unsafe at home, 13 year old Elly has nowhere to go--until she’s rescued by Tracy, a charismatic, heroin-addicted 18 year old who changes Elly’s life forever. Elly runs away, falling in with Tracy and her makeshift family on the streets of Hollywood. Faced with danger, crime, and the raw realities of fighting for survival, Tracy and Elly forge a tenuous sister-like bond. As the two struggle to stay together, the feral, streetwise Tracy is forced to learn what it means to truly take care of someone—and Elly gains the strength to finally stand on her own.
