Ashes

Ashes follows Dr. Andrew Stanton (Charmed's Brian Krause) a brilliant, obsessive doctor working on a cure for AIDS. On the verge of a major breakthrough in his exhaustive research, the work has taken an obvious toll on both his work and personal life as he tries to ward off government interference and meddling hospital administrators. Stanton s troubles further multiply when Jesus, a comatose young boy suffering from an undiagnosed illness is left at the hospital front door. With the boy facing imminent death, Stanton elects to inject the boy with his experimental drug in hopes of gaining more time to in pursuit of a final diagnosis. Total chaos ensues as Stanton is bitten by the boy signaling the outbreak of a contagious and deadly virus. Stanton must now stop the infection before it destroys him and everyone he loves, and facing the cold reality that the cure is worse than the disease.
