Buddha in Africa

Buddha in Africa is a 2019 Swedish South African biographical documentary film produced, written and directed by Nicole Schafer. The film stars only one character Enock Alu. The story of the film depicts the facts based on Buddhism in the region of Africa and also relates close to the topic about Buddhism in China. The principal photography of the film commenced in 2012 and had a delayed release in 2019. The film had its theatrical release on 27 April 2019 and received mixed reviews from the critics. The critics praised the cinematography of the film but criticised the screenplay for its weak content. The film was screened at several film festivals.
