The 14-year-old Ola takes care of her younger autistic brother Nikodem, who is soon to receive the Holy Communion for the first time. The condition for the latter, however, is that he passes the oral exam, so Ola learns with him all that a Catholic should know about his faith, and paints in the blackest colors what might happen if he passes through. With the help of banana discs, the practice of receiving the host is finally practiced. In addition, Ola takes care of the household and that the father, who always pulls it into the pub, is soon back home. Her only contact is by telephone. Ola tries to persuade her to come to the communion party of Nikodem, with the idea that the family would be able to reunite, and the mother would then be able to return to them.
