Discover
When a sewage worker's dead body is found inside a manhole in Mumbai, an aging folk singer is arrested on charges of abetment of suicide for performing an inflammatory song which might have incited the worker to commit the act. As his trial unfolds, the personal lives of the lawyers and the judge involved in the case are observed outside the court. This thought-provoking film has won 23 prizes at international film festivals, including Venice’s Lion of the Future for Best First Film and the Orizzonti Award for Best Film.
