Dangerous Exile

Set in 1795, this story is based around Britain’s war with Republican France. Over the Welsh town of Tenby floats a French balloon which a group of soldiers are sent to investigate. It leads them to a young boy who is sobbing in a graveyard. He is taken home by a beautiful American woman, Virginia, where it is soon discovered that the boy is the son of the executed Louis XVI and thus the King of France. Whilst Virginia resolves to keep the boy in Britain for his safety, the French are eager to restore him to his rightful throne and undertake a series of highly dangerous operations to fulfil their aims.
