“America’s Got Talent” season 12 champion and audience favorite Darci Lynne Farmer celebrates the holidays Oklahoma style in her first original TV special, “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas,” airing Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. For viewers of all ages, the special celebrates family togetherness at the holidays. The one-hour telecast features musical performances and sketches from the talented young singer-ventriloquist, along with her lively puppets. There are also several feature performances from such notable guests as multi-award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, singer-songwriter Toby Keith, country music superstar Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix and two-time Billboard Music Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. The special also includes surprise guest appearances from “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B. Farmer brings viewers home for the holidays to show off all of Oklahoma’s beauty and warmth. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning Chenoweth, also an Oklahoma native, performs “What a Wonderful World.” In addition, Farmer performs with Keith as the two pay visit to the OK Kids Korral, a home for children battling cancer. Additional performances with Pentatonix and Stirling – as well as puppets Petunia, Oscar, Edna and Katie – features many familiar holiday tunes such as “Santa Baby,” “Mary Did You Know” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” Hayes debuts his new song, “This Christmas.” Ricky Minor, who served as musical director on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” from 2010-14, leads the house band on the special and Lonnie Chavis, from NBC’s “This Is Us,” stops by for a holiday gift exchange.
