Emma's War

In Australia, Emma Grange (Miranda Otto) and her younger sister are content to live their lives in a well-populated part of the Blue Mountains, but when their father (Terence Donovan) goes off to fight in World War II, their mother (Lee Remick) decides to move the family to the bush country for safety. The transition proves difficult for the sisters as they begin to blossom into womanhood, but it also takes an emotional toll on their mother, who descends into alcoholism as the war wages on.
