Evergreen

Harriet Green is a high profile singer and comedienne in London. On her final performance, she is forced to place her baby in the charge of a faithful maid, and disappears. Years later, the daughter seeks a singing job and is recognised as the daughter of the singer. They decide she should pretend to be her mother and ‘revive’ her singing career. But when she meets the man of her dreams, he is reluctant to declare his love for a woman he believes to be over 50.
