When vaudeville dies, Albert Norwick takes the family troupe and settles down with an increasingly successful factory job. But to him he is always still between engagements and as his three children grow up they continue to practice daily. Despite his best endeavors the old act starts to disappear - one of his daughters elopes, the second gets engaged, and his wife is happy in the home they have made. Even his son starts getting involved elsewhere, so when a booking does arrive it presents everyone with decisions.
