The miseries and letdowns of modern everyday life are given new voice in the work of brothers David and Nathan Zellner, who after creating a series of quirky shorts, make their feature film debut with the strikingly original GOLIATH. The deadpan comedy about a man trying to cope when all is collapsing around him comes to DVD from IFC Films on January 12, 2010. Writer-director David Zellner stars as a young man who is going through a nasty divorce and is facing a demotion at work. But he really starts to lose his grip when his lone anchor to life, his cat Goliath, goes missing, which sets our hero on a hilariously pathetic search. David Zellner and his brother, producer-editor Nathan, deftly straddle the line between humor and pathos like few other filmmakers have.
