School's out, so it's time to sing, dance and celebrate for the Wildcats of East High. Landing summer jobs at a ritzy country club, the teens are ready for fun...but instead, their friendships and relationships are put to the test. Troy (Zac Efron) is especially thrilled with his new job and the opportunities it brings, but it's all part of Sharpay's (Ashley Tisdale) plan to keep him from Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). With the club's Talent Night looming, will the teens allow their problems to get the best of them or let their artistic brilliance shine on stage?
