Nagaiah, Nagesh, Manorama, Roja Ramani and S. A. Ashokan. It tells the story of a man who faces upheavals in his life as he is caught between his lady-love and his devoted wife. Released on 1 November 1967, Iru Malargal became a commercial success with 100 days run, and won two awards at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
