A few days of the late twentieth century, the world is waiting fervently 2000. To escape the countdown and mass hysteria, a group of friends, led by Francis, is exiled the holidays on an island off of Ajaccio. The temptations to cheat the rules they are required to cut the world are numerous but, yet all seem to find their account in this little adventure. François alone can no longer find his place in what he himself desired and organized. He might be proactive, show the most radical idealism, having ruled the world, it is also away from his closest friends and Catherine, the woman he loves. Gradually, he feels that this island in the calm beauty and Stéphane, a young man who welcomes them, are associated in the same mystery, which isolates and pushes it to an ultimate retrenchment. On the evening of 31, the twelfth stroke of midnight, François disappears.
