Mad Little Island

The idyllic Isle of Todday may be a mere dot on a map, but its peace is threatened by a plan from the mainland to turn the island into a rocket base. Hugh Mander (Donald Sinden) is sent on an official mission to report on the people. On the boat he meets, and falls in love with, Janet (Jean Carson), the island’s schoolteacher. But while he is establishing good relations, other officials arrive and announce their intentions. Hugh is exposed, and Janet is not impressed. Whilst not speaking to him, she rounds up the locals to fight the plans. For this, they must hit upon an idea, and fast.
