Bumbling Asian detective, Inspector Hoku Ichihara (the great Zero Mostel, The Producers, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), who has delusions that he’s a great Samurai warrior, is assigned to protect an experimental robot in this spoof of Charlie Chan mysteries. Alex March (Paper Lion, The Big Bounce) directed this hilarious comedy in the tradition of the Inspector Clouseau films. The strong supporting cast includes Bradford Dillman (Compulsion), Keiko Kishi (The Yakuza), Jules Munshin (On the Town), Furankî Sakai (Mothra), Sorrell Booke (TV’s The Dukes of Hazzard) and Phil Leeds (History of the World: Part I).
