Widower Adam MacAdam (James Cromwell, Secretariat) passes his lonely days with his prized sheepdog, Zac, by his side. When his orphaned grandson, David, visits for the summer, he's pulled into the decades-old feud between Adam and his neighbor, Keith Moore (Colm Meaney, Law Abiding Citizen)--years of fierce sheepherding competition have driven the men apart. But with help from David and Zac, Adam slowly learns to accept his tragic past, to love again, and to make amends with a friend lost.
