Silent Victim

Bonnie Jackson, a Georgia woman embroiled in a failed marriage turned violent, attempts a suicide resulting in a miscarriage. Her husband, furious that she never told him of her pregnancy, is contacted by militant right-to-lifers who convince him to sue his wife. An ambitious district attorney soon joins the case, and asks the state of Georgia to charge Bonnie with committing an illegal abortion. Media vultures, pro-life and pro-choice fanatics descend on the small town, turning Bonnie's private torment into a public circus.
