A temperamental opera star, Phillipa, throws a perfume bottle at her husband during an argument, striking him near his left eye. The argument was about her husband talking to an attractive violinist named Elizabeth. Her husband walks out of their flat and takes himself to hospital, where he is picked up by the police. It seems that Elizabeth has been murdered, and that they know the killer has been cut just above his eye as well. Philippa is determined to prove her husband’s innocence and sets off to find the real killer. As she comes closer to the truth, she also comes closer to danger.
