Discover
Simone Signoret stars in the title role as Therese, a young woman trapped in a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin Camille (Jacques Duby) and living with him in the home of his paralysed mother (Jean Sylvere). When she meets an acquaintance of Camille's, strapping truck driver Laurent (Raf Vallone), the two begin a secret affair - but jealousy and anger lead to tragic consequences for all three.
