The Circle

The acclaimed British actor John Mills stars as Dr Howard Latimer, a Harley Street specialist, who one day receives a telephone call apparently from his friend, Kaufmann, a movie mogul. He asks Dr Latimer to do him a favour by meeting a film star, Frieda, at the Airport. This he does, and having taken her to her hotel, sets off to meet his fiancée and friends. A few days later, however, he arrives at his flat to find Frieda’s dead body there. The police are called in, and as he explains about Kaufmann’s phone call, it becomes clear that it was in fact a hoax. He must solve the mystery himself in order to prove his innocence.
