When the INS deports a down-and-out Italian-American actor, Gianni DiCarlo (Nicholas Turturro, CBS' new hit drama Blue Bloods, The Longest Yard, Jungle Fever), his mother (Talia Shire, the Rocky and Godfather film series), dad, agent and ex-wife are worried sick over his disappearance. Stranded in the dangerous terrain of a small Mexican town, he is forced to find his own way back to Hollywood. With the help of a group of orphans and mustering his best acting skills, Gianni must out-smart a crooked INS agent (Paul Sloan, Stiletto, Machine, The Scorpion King), out-fight town sheriffs, out-preach an eccentric priest (Taylor Negron, The Last Boy Scout, Nothing But Trouble), out-drink the silly Charco brothers (comedian Paul Rodriguez, Ali, Blood Work, Born in East L.A. and Robert Gallo, Street Boss, In the Mix, Sinners), out-wit a proud Frenchman (David Proval, HBO's The Sopranos, The Shawshank Redemption) and out-dig a female grave digger. He’s even forced to out-maneuver an over-zealous goat. Will Gianni make it back across the border? A hilarious tale for the entire family of finding the hero inside us all and making what really matters in life count.
