The Devil's Brigade

A rag-tag group of Canadian and American troops overcome their initial antagonism, turning themselves into a disciplined fighting force, only to find out that their planned mission has been cancelled. After requesting reassignment, the commandos are sent on a patrol near the German lines in southern Italy. There, they capture an enemy-held village and are then given the seemingly impossible task of taking Mt. La Difensa.
