Rosalind Russell, Don Ameche and Kay Francis star in this screwball comedy about a college professor who unwittingly becomes a test subject for his latest book—on spousal jealousy. Now, he finds that despite years of earnest academic study, the solution lies with The Feminine Touch. This rollicking case of misunderstandings begins when bored college professor John Hathaway (Academy Award winner Ameche—Cocoon; Corrina, Corrina) goes to New York to meet with his publisher, Elliott Morgan (Academy Award winner Van Heflin—Stagecoach, Shane). But when Morgan becomes instantly attracted to Hathaway's wife, Julie (four-time Academy Award nominee Russell—Auntie Mame, His Gal Friday), the professor must consult his own textbook. And when Morgan's now-jealous girlfriend, Nellie Woods (Francis—Charley's Aunt), begins to plot to regain his affection, the situation rapidly spirals out of control in this classic comedy. Screenplay co-written by Ogden Nash.
