Advertising executive Dennis Lindsay (Donald Woods) scores a coup by signing Mexican firebrand Carmelita Fuentes (Lupe Velez) to a radio contract. Once in New York City, Carmelita attends a wrestling match and yells herself hoarse. Fired from the radio program when she can't sing, a furious Carmelita blames wrestler Mexican Pete (Ward Bond), who then hires her to sing at his nightclub. There, Carmelita impresses the wealthy Tony Romano (Edward Raquello), making Dennis unexpectedly jealous.
