The Gorilla (1930) is an all-talking pre-Code murder mystery comedy film produced by First National Pictures, distributed by Warner Bros., and directed by Bryan Foy. The movie stars Joe Frisco, Harry Gribbon, Walter Pidgeon and Lila Lee. The film was based on the 1925 play, of the same name, by Ralph Spence. The 1930 film version was a sound remake of the 1927 silent version, which was also produced by First National Pictures. No film elements from The Gorilla are known to survive. The soundtrack, which was recorded on Vitaphone disks, may survive in private hands.
