Discover
In the primitive community of Scotchtown, Nova Scotia, Jim Mackenzie is respected but not liked. He scorns kindliness and has a bitter heart due to the death of his son in the Boer War. His two orphaned grandchildren arrive, and soon feel deprived of any emotional warmth. Then one day, they find a baby in the woods and take it home to care for it secretly. Meanwhile, a search party has assembled to track down the baby’s ‘kidnappers’...
