British comedians Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones star in this farcical comedy set in Norwich, England. Henry Wilt is a local teacher, who spends his evenings fantasising about murdering his domineering wife, Eva (Alison Steadman). Finding himself in a compromising situation, he decides to rid himself of the evidence by dumping it in a hole on a building site. When it is discovered that his wife has gone missing, local Inspector Flint (Mel Smith) suspects that what is in the hole is a body, and Wilt is suspected of murder. But when the truth emerges, will it be more embarrassing than incriminating?
