Discover
Hester Graham is an ambitious woman determined to live her life as fully as possible. Her husband is unable to control her extravagance, and their financial situation worsens when he loses his job. Paul, one of her sons, sits on his rocking horse to escape his empty world. He soon realises that he has a talent for choosing winning horses. He persuades their loyal groom, Bassett, to place a bet for him and hopes that by giving his winnings to his mother, he will earn her affection. Will his plan work or will it take something more drastic to change her ways?
