A Russian diplomat's affair sparks a thrilling case of counter-espionage. Judith Farrow works in the British Foreign Office and, when in the Caribbean, falls in love with Feodor Sverlov, a Russian military attaché, and their affair stirs up accusations. In an attempt to clear their names, the pair discover that a Russian agent has infiltrated the top level of British politics and is involved in a case of counter-espionage. Judith learns that Feodor is to return home where he will be executed and the two run off to a corner of the world where no one can find them. But a bomb demolishes the bungalow where Feodor is staying. Judith returns to London to try and pick up the pieces and then receives a gift which can only have come from Feodor...
