Tin Man

A deaf genius creates a super speaking computer. Casey Cain (Timothy Bottoms) is deaf and in his spare time designs a computer - Osgood - that can both hear and speak for him. Casey meets Marcia (Deana Jurgens) who convinces him to see Dr Edison (John Phillip Law) to restore his hearing. Marcia also introduces Casey to Lester Timms (Troy Donahue) an enterprising salesman for an unscrupulous computer company. Casey undergoes Dr Edison's operation, learns to speak and falls in love with Marcia. But the new-found hearing is only temporary and he will soon be deaf again. Lester Timms destroys Osgood, and Casey is left without a job, without his hearing and without a friend - it is time to make some choices.
