In France, a lorry load of female prisoners arrive at a German camp. Among them is Freda, a strong-minded journalist. One night during an air raid a British bomber is hit over the camp and three of the men bail out into the camp grounds. Freda and one of her comrades find them and decide to hide them and help them to escape. The situation becomes more complicated when it is discovered that one of the women in the camp is a German spy. They must keep the operation secret, but as tensions between the women rise, their plans become more urgent.
