Discover
1940s British musical drama following vaudeville stars Kit Burns (Ellis Irving) and Joe Swan (Reginald Purdell) and the decline of the music hall. With the outbreak of the First World War, Kit and Joe's successful theatre deteriorates considerably. When Kit's son is killed in action the situation looks even more grim but his grandson decides to repair the music hall and keeps it running until he is called to fight in World War II.
