Theodore Harold White was an American political journalist and historian, known for his reporting from China during World War II and accounts of the 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, and 1980 presidential elections. He was the first foreigner to report on the Chinese famine of 1942–43 and helped the famine to catch Chinese and international attention.
