Be Our Chef: Beyond the Reef

The Merrill family and Wells family compete in this "Moana"-themed cooking challenge. Just as Moana was able to combine her island life with her adventures at sea, our families must now create a dish that brings both land and sea together in a harmonious way. To get inspired, the families go to Magic Kingdom Park for a special meeting with Moana herself. For even more inspiration, the families continue their Disney Parks visit with a trip to the Land Pavilion at Epcot before heading into the kitchen. The Merrill family chooses to make a dish inspired by Moana's traditional canoe. The Wells family concocts a spicy surf n' turf meal. The Garden Game gets a little nuts when Eric and Addison Merrill and Brent and Shelly Wells have to battle against our Kakamora coconuts. The family that knocks over the most Kakamora in 60 seconds wins the Magic Spoon and the kitchen advantage that comes with it. Both families need a win if they want to drop anchor ahead of the competition. However, only Chef Gregg can decide who will sail away with a victory.
