Be Our Chef: Slimy Yet Satisfying

In Round Six of "Be Our Chef" the Perez and Platt families compete in the "Lion King" cooking challenge. Simba didn't want to eat bugs at first, but when he gave them a try, he was happy to realize that they were “slimy yet satisfying.” Sometimes kids don’t want to eat their vegetables, so our families are tasked with incorporating vegetables into a dish that they'll also find satisfying. Before heading off to the kitchen, the families visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Park to see the Tree of Life and get a special visit from Timon and Rafiki. The Perez family is inspired by the vegetation in the Park to create a dish as beautiful as a flower. The Platt family feels the rhythm of the jungle with a truly African dish. The Garden Game puzzles Andre Jr. and Nataly Perez and De’Maryo and Danita Platt, but they’ll have to get the picture before the sixty seconds is up to win the Magic Spoon and its kitchen advantage. Can the Perez family get this win and stay in contention for the grand prize? Or will the Platt family rule the land? Chef Gregg will have a tough decision to make – no lyin’.
