Read recap of the previous night's performances It's the story of a lovely lady... Who knew a results show could be so emotional? Tonight featured a first for DWTS: The Mwano family, originally from the Congo, were in the audience: Mom Bernadette and her five sons. We saw a video explaining how the family escaped Africa where the boys' father was assassinated to move to the United States. The family has struggled, but the boys have always felt strength from their mother who did everything for her children, to keep them safe and to give them a chance. Dancing with the Stars flew the family out and the five brothers secretly rehearsed with the DWTS pros. Tonight they gave their mom their surprise gift: the Mwano brothers performed a Cha Cha Cha live on stage, with mom in the front row of her favorite show. They were teamed up with Kym, Lacey, Chelsie, Anna, and Karina, performing "Beggin" by Madcon. Design a Dance Speaking of the pro dancers, the participants for this season's Design a Dance have not been decided yet. All twelve pro dancers from this season are on the ballot. You've already voted to determine the dance (Cha Cha Cha) and the song ("Still Rock and Roll To Me"). AND you still have time to submit YOUR CONCEPT for the dance! Setting, wardrobe, props, everything! You have until midnight Friday, October 22nd to submit your creative vision for the ultimate dance!  Vote now for the dancers and submit your concept! Back to tonight's show: the encore was Brandy & Maks' Quickstep to the theme from Friends. All three judges loved it last night, and the fun dance was a really energetic way to start the show. We were also treated to two songs by Jason Derulo: "In My Head" and a soulful cover of "Georgia On My Mind." And Shakira and her dancers took the ballroom by storm performing "Loca." As for tonight's elimination, things started off with a surprise. The two teams with the lowest judges scores from last night, Bristol & Mark and Kyle & Lacey were both declared safe. And in a sad and ironic twist, America's mom and TV icon Florence Henderson, who danced a Tango to the theme song to The Brady Bunch, was eliminated. Summing her up experience on the show, Florence commented that she was surprised with the intensity with how much she had to work, but also hoped that, "...I've inspired people to get up off their behinds and move and dance and live and enjoy life." But now she and Corky have to go put their behinds onto Jimmy Kimmel's couch tonight.   Comments from Maria and Jim, live-blogging at He Said/She Said "I'm currently consoling Maria who is getting a bit misty now that Florence has been voted off the show. Mrs. Brady/Ms. Henderson is a total class act. Tomorrow I plan to post my five favorite episodes of The Brady Bunch as a little tribute to her. Check back and chime in if you'd like to have a little fun during the week." -- Jim Read more and join the conversation at He Said/She Said
