Read recap of the previous night's performances MVP! MVP! MVP! With tonight's elimination the field is cut from 5 to 4. Next week is the semi-finals. We're this close to the awarding of the Mirror Ball Trophy. And we really have no idea who's going to win it. After last night's fantastic "Instant Dances," we were thrilled to see that the judges chose Kyle & Lacey's Jive to "Good Golly Miss Molly" as the encore dance. With more than 20 minutes to rehearse this time, tonight's performance was even better than last night's! In addition to being honored with the encore dance, Kyle & Lacey learned right away tonight that they were safe. Ahhhhhh. Tonight was a night full of great musical performances, starting with Taio Cruz who performed his hit "Dynamite" accompanied by Tony & Petra, Louis & Chelsie, and Dmitry & Kym. Y'know, we really love seeing some of our favorite pros return week after week to dance these spectactular dances. John Legend and The Roots performed two songs: "Wake Up" with Tony & Chelsie and Maks & Cheryl on the dance floor, and "No Ordinary People" accompanied by Mark Ballas & Jeanine Mason. Tom had been starstruck all day after seeing this next performance during rehearsal: 9-year-old pianist Emily Bear (who has played the White House and Carnegie Hall) along with champion ballroom dance teams Tyler Goldman (11) & Sophia Latessa (10) and Erik Linder (10) & Rickie Taylor (9). With Emily rockin' on the piano, the ballroom pairs brought the house down with their jive to Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti"! And there was more — Dance Center! Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice, and Len Goodman returned to give their almost-not-entirely-ridiculous critiques of the Final Five dancers. Oh yeah... the elimination. The two lowest scoring teams from last night were Bristol & Mark and Kurt & Anna. And once again the voters saved Bristol & Mark, which meant it was the end of the line for Team KURTanna.  Kurt, ever the gentleman, said a gracious goodbye, then, with the audience chanting "MVP! MVP!," the two-time NFL MVP and his partner Anna packed up their dance shoes to head over to Jimmy Kimmel Live.   Comments from Maria and Jim, live-blogging at He Said/She Said "Hard to say goodbye to such a good guy. Kurt and Anna always took the floor minus the drama. These two were perfect partners who were a joy to watch, not just as dancers, but as fun friends who always managed to brighten up the party. They will be missed." -- Jim Read more and join the conversation at He Said/She Said
