Read recap of the previous night's performances THE FINALISTS ARE REVEALED A shocking elimination tonight showed the true power of fan voting. More votes were received last night — by phone, text, and here on ABC.com — than ever before at this stage in the competition. With four teams who all performed their best dances of the season last night in a close race, it was clear why the stars all looked so nervous at the beginning of tonight's Results Show. The encore dance tonight was Brandy and Maks' beautiful and atmospheric Argentine Tango, which earned them a perfect 30 last night. Annie Lennox, the legendary musician and singer, performed twice tonight, starting with "Universal Child" from her new album A Christmas Cornucopia. She returned later to light up the stage singing her classic number one hit, "Little Bird," accompanied by four amazing bird-like dancers. Another special treat tonight was global superstar Enrique Iglesias performing his number one single "I Like It" with Dmitry & Kym, Louis & Cheryl, and Peta & Damian tearing up the dance floor. Design a Dance After a season of viewer voting for the dance style (Cha Cha), song (Billy Joel's "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me"), the pro dancers (Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke), and the viewer-submitted concept, it was time to see your custom designed dance debuted!  Abby Stonewall Kapp of Charlotte, North Carolina submitted the winning concept: THE CONCEPT: The setting is a drive-in movie with an old 50's convertible sitting on the dance floor; male dancer trying to win the love of female. PROPS/SET DECORATIONS: Classic convertible car parked on stage, a projected movie on a big white screen hanging from ceiling, dancers eating popcorn. WARDROBE: Woman: white poodle type skirt with red cherries on it, red short top that you tie the sides in the middle, black/white saddle shoes. Man: Black jeans, white tight t-shirt, red leather coat, black Converse shoes and greased back hair. DESCRIPTION OF THE DANCE: Dance starts with male and female sitting in the car, eating popcorn and watching movie. Male pro starts to put his moves on the female but she jumps out of the car. She jumps on the hood of car and starts to dance and he chases after her. They dance on the car and then she jumps/flips off into his arms and they cha-cha around the dance floor. Dance ends with dancers jumping back in the car. The last beat the room goes dark except for the headlights on the car and movie screen projection & his arm around her finally! Derek and Cheryl's interpretation was pretty dead on and felt like an avalanche of fun. And the classic 50s convertible parked onstage in front of a drive-in movie screen made this a dance to remember. The Elimination Speaking of Derek, he and Jennifer, who earned two perfect 30s last night, were the first team declared safe tonight. The next team given a reprieve was Kyle and Lacey, who finished in 2nd place last night with 58 points (two 29s). That means Team Baby Derek and Team Schmurgles are going to the finals, with four more dances to compete in next week. The last two teams standing were Team Bran DMC, who earned their first perfect score last night, and Team Ballin' who chalked up their highest scores of the season as well, including a Paso that earned three 9s. And even after five weeks at the bottom of the leaderboard, Bristol & Mark were declared safe and will be moving on to the finals. Brandy and Maks were eliminated. A tearful Brandy was at a loss for words. Perhaps she'll have some words to share a little later when she and Maks visit Jimmy Kimmel Live.   Comments from Maria and Jim, live-blogging at He Said/She Said "Kyle and Lacey are in the finals!!!!!
