Read recap of the previous night's performances Best opening of a Results Show ever? Yeah, we were sucked in immediately. After the recap, Tom kicked things off with the live coverage and threw us backstage behind-the-scenes as everyone was scrambling to get ready for the beginning of the show. They were counting down, running around, three, two, one... And Santana blew us out of the water, with Maks & Cheryl, Corky & Anna, and Tony & Kym dancing to the classic Oye Como Va (choreographed by Maks). Awesome. The music this episode was pretty spectacular. Later we got a performance by Daughtry with the prime time TV debut of his new hit single September. Then India.Arie sang a beautiful version of The Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Santana. And finally Chris Daughtry and Santana teamed up to perform Def Leppard's Photograph. And all of this accompanied by dancing, including Louis & Karina, Chelsie & Mark, and Derek & Lacey. And with all that, they still found time to eliminate someone. The teams with the four lowest scores were on the chopping block first. Michael Bolton was announced safe, as was Margaret Cho, who was tied for last in judges scores. The other two last-place scorers, David Hasselhoff and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, were left hanging. The big surprise came at the end, when the Situation was declared safe, but Kyle Massey—who scored well and wowed the crowd last night but may not have the huge fanbase needed to get votes—joined The Hoff as the final two whose fates hadn't been announced yet. Kyle's parents were there, proud of him no matter what. And Hasselhoff's daughters were proud their old man with the bad knees got as far as he did. Still, no one wanted to lose. But hey, them's the rules. And as he put it, David Hasselhoff goes "hoff to glory." But first he has to go hoff to see Jimmy Kimmel, and face the interview. It's tough being the first one cut. Let's see how he handles it. Now who's going to tweet about it first? Design a Dance It's back! And pretty great this season — you get to submit full concepts for the dance and really customize it the way you want. Voting is open now until Friday to choose the dance style: Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Paso Doble, Samba, Tango, or Viennese Waltz Then in the upcoming weeks you'll choose the song and the two professional dancers, then submit concepts and vote on your favorite. Finally your whole custom-made dance will be performed live on DWTS later in the season! Vote now!   Comments from Maria and Jim at He Said/She Said "We are down to the remaining four couples on the chopping block. I swear if Kyle and Lacey get voted off tonight I will cry out against the injustice. It simply can't be the case!" -- Maria Read more and join the conversation at He Said/She Said
