Trio Dances:Week 8 Highlights• The Week 8 Performance Show kicks off on Tom Bergeron's birthday!• In the first round, the couples perform a traditional ballroom dance in a style that they've not yet done. In the second round, the couples dance as part of a trio, featuring an eliminated pro or troupe member.• Round 1 ends with Team Alexandra in the lead with a 29 and Teams Zendaya and Kellie tied for second with 28s each.• Sean and Peta perform a runaway groom routine to a cover of Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold," and the reception was more cold, earning the team 7s from each judge for a total of 21.• Jacoby's mom, who's fed up with Len's harsh scores for her son, drops by rehearsal and her cheering seems to pay off. Len enthusiastically gives Jacoby and Karina's Viennese waltz a 9, pushing their total to 27.• Carrie Ann compares Ingo to Gene Kelly for how casually the soap star is able to dance the foxtrot, and his dance lands him a 24.• To infuse more emotion into her Viennese waltz, Kellie conjures up the memory of her late grandmother. The inspiration leads her to scoring a total of 28, including a 10 from Bruno.• Team Zendaya's Round 2 trio dance with Gleb results in the first PERFECT 30 of the season!• While Carrie Ann and Bruno hand out 10s for Team Kellie and Tristan's paso doble trio, Len finds it to be a hodgepodge with flashing lights worthy of only a 7.
