Drawing influences from popular comedic actresses Kristen Wiig and Tina Fey, four former NYU Tisch students, dubbed “Downtown Girls” have announced their self-titled webseries. The series, based loosely on The Downtown Girls’ real lives and influenced by the quartet’s real life dynamic friendship, is divided into a series of 3-5 minute vignettes - each telling the day in the life of 20-something year old girls stumbling into adulthood and all of it’s mishaps as (un)gracefully as possible in New York City.
