Jason, a historic preservationist, and Casey, an architect and artist, have been living in different cities and dating long distance for a year. They've decided to take a big step forward by both moving to the city where they first met, Buffalo, NY, and buy their first home together. Casey wants a Craftsman-style house with a more modern open layout but Jason prefers the vintage style of a Victorian with architectural woodwork and pocket doors. Finding a place that suits them both is not an easy task for their agent Jim Mack. With some give and take they'll settle on a house, then they'll dive into a major renovation that will test their new living situation. With help from designer Candice Urban-Green and contractor Fred Hunt, Jr., they'll tackle everything from bad wiring to troublesome tiling to beehives. It will all pay off in the end when they transform their beautiful historic home into a hip place that they both can love.
