Sick and tired of the popular girls running the school and leaving the rest of the student body to blend into the background, Krystle is ready to step into the spotlight and be MADE into the Junior Class Homecoming Queen. Krystle wants to show her high school that you can be yourself and keep your friends--even if they aren't the most popular kids in school--and people will still vote you for Miss Junior because they like who you are. Winning the Miss Junior crown won't be easy especially since Krystle will be running against some of the most popular girls in school. Andrea is well known throughout the school for being a great athlete and for having one of the hottest wardrobes around. The click Andrea runs with has been winning the homecoming crown since freshmen year and they aren't going to give this crown up without a fight. Then there are the cheerleaders. Alexa is known for being the ultimate cheerleader and her two friends, Jenn and Jess, will also being attempting to cheer their way to the crown. Homecoming is a big deal at Winslow High and Krystle will need some help if she is going to have a chance against these high school divas. Ceylone is the reining Miss East Coast USA and surprises the whole school one afternoon when she shows up in the hallways to introduce herself as Krystle's MADE coach. After school that day, the two meet up to talk about Krystle's strategy. Krystle wants to show all the average girls out there that it's not a lost cause to run for something like Junior Homecoming Queen. She wants to prove to people that they don't have to be intimidated by all the popular kids in school. At the first official Homecoming Queen meeting, Krystle comes face to face with her competition. After the meeting some of the girls introduce themselves to Krystle. Meeting the competition makes Krystle feel better about the event and she thinks the girls are really sweet. The next day, Krystle's friends approach her with some surprising news. Alexa, one of the cheerleaders had been talking sh-- about her. Krystle is understandably upset and can't believe that this seemingly sweet girl had been talking about her behind her back. At the next homecoming meeting, Krystle feels compelled to confront Alexa but when she does, Alexa refuses to admit that she had said anything so Krystle has to drop the issue. Taking a break from the drama, Krystle tries to focus on her campaign and getting ready for the competition. Ceylone decides to give Krystle a full makeover so she steals her for a day of shopping. After they pick out a hot new wardrobe, Ceylone brings Krystle to get her hair and makeup done. After a day of beautification, Krystle looks like a whole new woman, ready to compete for and win the Homecoming Queen crown. Krystle wants to end the experience in good terms with the rest of the candidates so she gives each a small gift and has a good talk with Alexa to smooth things over. Soon the day they had all been waiting for arrives. Krystle keeps her hopes high and gets ready for the pep rally where they will find out who will be the final three contenders. As the anticipation builds, the girls each receive a rose box. The top three would get a red rose and the rest would not. Krystle opens her box to find a beautiful red rose inside. She will move on to the next round. The evening of the Junior Homecoming dance, Krystle is nervous but looking her best in the gown that Ceylone had given to her as a gift. After everyone arrives at the dance, the school gets ready to announce the new Junior Homecoming Queen. After everyone waits anxiously, they finally announce that Krystle is the winner. Her friends gather around her as she is crowned the Junior Homecoming Queen. To Krystle, winning is great but feeling like she had made a difference in her school was the best MADE gift of all.
